What is COVID-19 (Novel Coronavirus)?


The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and public health agencies across the US, including Southwest Nebraska Public Health Department (SWNPHD), are working to limit the spread of the new coronavirus that began spreading in Wuhan China. It is officially named SARS-CoV-2 and the disease it causes is named COVID-19.



Updated Symptoms of COVID-19: fever of 100.4 or above, cough, shortness of breath, sore throat, chills/shaking, muscle pain, headache, new loss of taste or smell, nausea/vomiting or diarrhea.
